September 2019 Dividend Income Summary

September 2019 is in the books. Let's see how much income I received last month. This is the second month I will also include my income from selling options.

In this blogpost I will list my dividend and option income for the month of September 2019.

In September I received a total of $295.10 in investment income. This is made up of $282.39 of dividends and $12.71 from selling options.

The reason the option income is much smaller than last month is because I rolled 2 options out. They were trading below the strike price, so I bought them back for a loss and sold them for a later date. You can see these trades on my options page under numbers 22 and 31.

The cool thing here is that even though I had to roll those 2 options (which caused some losses in September), I was still profitable for the month! And the potential profits from these rolled options are still there, but they will be listed in a future summary, when the profits are realized.

These are the stocks that paid me a dividend:

Unilever (UN): $19.14
Royal Dutch Shell (RDS.A): $27.77
Suncor Energy (SU): $9.46
Wells Fargo (WFC): $10.84
Intel (INTC): $16.87
Ford (F): $20.40
Pfizer (PFE): $15.30
United Parcel Services (UPS): $16.32
Boeing (BA): $17.47
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ): $12.11
IBM (IBM): $13.77
3M (MMM): $12.24
Microsoft (MSFT): $11.73
Realty Income (O): $4.81

NextEra Energy (NEE): $10.62
Qualcomm (QCOM): $15.81
Lockheed Martin (LMT): $11.22
Pepsico (PEP): $16.23

Last year September I received $199.44 in dividends. That means that this year I received 41.59% more dividends than last year September. Nice!

Stashing Dutchman Dividend Income Summary September 2019

All dividends are after dividend taxes of 15%, but I can reclaim this via the Dutch IRS, so there's an added bonus there when I do my taxes for 2019 (in March 2020).

Purchases / sales

There were no purchases and/or sales.

How was your month? Hopefully you received some nice dividends as well. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to post them below!
