May 2019 Dividend Income Summary (+January - April)

Alright, time to make a summary about all the dividends I received in May. I will also list all the dividend income from the months January - April, because I was too lazy to make separate blogposts for those months. Sigh.. I'll try to be more consistent going forward. Promise.

May 2019 dividend income

In May I received a total of $166.73 in dividend income.

The following stocks paid me a dividend:

British American Tobacco (BATS): $64.13
AT&T (T): $25.58
CVS Health (CVS): $12.75
American Express (AXP): $4.97
Realty Income (O): $4.80
Texas Instruments (TXN): $13.09
Starbucks (SBUX): $12.85
Williams-Sonoma (WSM): $28.56

Some of the stocks mentioned above paid me dividend in pounds. For reporting purposes, I calculated these back to dollars using the closing exchange rate of 31 May 2019: 1.263799 (£1 = $1.263799).

Last year May I received $91.27. That means that this years May dividend income is a 82.67% increase from last year May. Nice!


January 2019 dividend income

In January I received a total of $125.67 in dividend income.

The following stocks paid me a dividend:

Altria (MO): $25.16
Walt Disney (DIS): $14.96
Philip Morris (PM): $30.64
Realty Income (O): $4.70
Medtronic (MDT): $9.20
Cisco (CSCO): $25.24

Last year January I received $26.69. That means that this years January dividend income is a 370.85% increase from last year January. Wow!


February 2019 dividend income

In February I received a total of $157.29 in dividend income.

The following stocks paid me a dividend:

American Express (AXP): $4.97
Texas Instruments (TXN): $13.09
Realty Income (O): $4.79

Some of the stocks mentioned above paid me dividend in pounds. For reporting purposes, I calculated these back to dollars using the closing exchange rate of 28 February 2019: 1.3318 (£1 = $1.3318).

Last year February I received $71.29. That means that this years February dividend income is a 120.63% increase from last year February. Nice!


March 2019 dividend income

In March I received a total of $241.01 in dividend income.

Some of the stocks mentioned above paid me dividend in euros. For reporting purposes, I calculated these back to dollars using the closing exchange rate of 29 March 2019: 1.123 (€1 = $1.123).

Last year March I received $198.31. That means that this years March dividend income is a 21.53% increase from last year March. Nice!


April 2019 dividend income

In April I received a total of $243.32 in dividend income.

The following stocks paid me a dividend:

Coca Cola Company (KO): $13.60
Philip Morris (PM): $30.69
Medtronic (MDT): $9.20
Realty Income (O): $4.80

Some of the stocks mentioned above paid me dividend in euros. For reporting purposes, I calculated these back to dollars using the closing exchange rate of 30 April 2019: 1.1185 (€1 = $1.1185).

Last year April I received $176.61. That means that this years April dividend income is a 37.77% increase from last year April. Nice!

Stashing Dutchman Dividend Income Graph May 2019

All dividends are after dividend taxes of 15%, but I can reclaim this via the Dutch IRS, so there's an added bonus there when I do my taxes for 2019 (in March 2020).


Purchases / sales

In 2019 so far I made the following purchases:

On 22 January I bought 20 shares of United Parcel Services (UPS) for $102.71 per share.

On 22 January I also bought 17 shares of Polaris Industries (PII) for $86.40 per share.

On 26 February I bought 40 shares of Suncor Energy (SU) for $34.47 per share.

On 22 March I bought 20 shares of Williams-Sonoma (WSM) for $57.82 per share.

On 22 March I also bought 30 shares of British American Tobacco (BATS) for £32.09 per share. In dollars, that would be roughly $1,264.21.

On 22 March I also bought 20 shares of Intel (INTC) for $53.90 per share.

On 25 April I bought another 43 shares of Intel (INTC) for $57.75 per share.

On 21 May I bought 15 shares of Caterpillar (CAT) for $124.96 per share.

On 21 May I also bought 22 shares of Eastman Chemicals (EMN) for $71.88 per share.

All purchase prices listed above include commissions.

There were no sales in 2019 so far.
